It is with great pleasure that I announce the completion of Malefaction, which is a short drama film produced in collaboration between Paean Films and Phoenix Rising Media. Set in Belfast, Malefaction tells the story of a hitman on the morning that he prepares to fulfil one more job before retiring. The target is a journalist, just one of many who would fall victim during the hitman’s long and successful career.
The film was shot on location in Bognor Regis, West Sussex during the summer of 2016 and the breadth of talent associated with its production will simply blow your socks off. Peter Gerald and Daniel Godward star as the hitman and the journalist respectively while behind the camera the film was produced by my good friend PJ Saysell-Rosales and is probably the greatest mind in modern cinema south of the North Berstead Bypass.
The film is now in consideration with various film festivals up and down the land with the view to embark on what we all hope to be a successful run at the end of the year. Keep your eyes peeled for with any luck Malefaction will be coming soon to a screen near you, and if so I hope you pounce upon this irresistible cinematic treat.
